City of Pharr

International Twin Bridge Expansion

The International Bridge Expansion Project will double capacity by adding a twin span with four new lanes, a sidewalk, improved lighting, and electronic signage to enhance traffic flow and safety. These improvements will expand northbound capacity, reduce wait times, improve security, and enable more efficient crossings between the U.S and Mexico.

Connecting Communities, Strengthening Trade

A Major Infrastructure Investment for the City of Pharr

Brownstone was procured as the Project Manager for the construction of an approximately 1.35-mile-long twin bridge located west of the existing Pharr International Bridge. The International Twin Bridge Expansion is a transformative investment in the future of South Texas—designed to reduce border wait times and expand capacity at one of the busiest U.S.–Mexico ports of entry. Featuring A.S.T./Certified Designated Lanes and an official gate-to-gate connection from Mexico to the U.S., the project will improve safety and security, streamline cross-border travel, and drive economic growth on both sides of the border.
